The ministry of Spruce Lake Retreat is supported through the gifts of friends, alumni campers, parents and others each year. These generous supporters are part of God’s ministry at Spruce Lake of pointing each person toward a closer relationship with Jesus Christ through our four areas of ministry

• Youth ministry—Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp,
• Education ministry—Spruce Lake Outdoor School
• Adult and Family ministry—Spruce Lake Retreat Programming
• Community ministry—Spruce Lake Guest Group Hosting

The donations of Spruce Lake supporters have made a difference in the lives of thousands of campers and guests by insuring that staff members are trained, buildings and facilities are maintained, and operational needs are met.

You can make a difference in the kingdom of God through your contribution to Spruce Lake Retreat—introducing Christ, building faith and growing disciples!
Here’s how you can be involved:
1. Become a prayer partner—Spruce Lake’s prayer team—composed of staff members, volunteers and other Spruce Lake friends—intentionally surrounds the ministry of Spruce Lake Retreat with prayer. You will receive regular updates on the prayer needs of Spruce Lake and how guests and campers have experienced God through Spruce Lake.

2. Become a Living Tree Partner—For those who prefer to plan their charitable giving, you can become a Living Tree Partners by making a 5-year faith promise to contribute a specific amount annually to the general ministry needs. As a Partner, you will receive regular in-depth communication regarding the ministry progress at Spruce Lake. This also allows Spruce Lake to be good stewards of its resources by planning for long-term major needs such as roof replacements and heating/cooling system updates.

3. Sponsor a “Campership” to send one child to Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to attend—From its beginning Spruce Lake has made a commitment that every camper who wants to attend Wilderness Camp will be able to do so and each year provides camperships to approximately 10 percent of our campers to fulfill this promise. You can help by contributing $225 to bring one more child to camp.

4. Contact a Spruce Lake Development Officer to discuss planned giving options that best fulfill your wishes and those of your family as well as support Spruce Lake Retreat.

5. Golf with us!—Spruce Lake receives significant support through two benefit golf tournaments held each year:
• Thursday, February 14, 2007 at Misty Creek Country Club, Sarasota, Florida
• Monday, June 9, 2007 at Indian Valley Country Club, Telford, Pennsylvania
These tournaments are designated to underwrite the ministries of Spruce Lake Outdoor School and Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp, respectively.

6. Make a one time gift to Spruce Lake this year—Each contribution is valuable to continuing the ministry that God has planned for Spruce Lake Retreat.
