We serve three balanced meals a day at approximately 8:00 am, 12:00 noon, and 5:00 pm. Breakfast is generally cooked by the counselor over the campfire at each tent. Most noon and evening meals are served as a combination of buffet and family style in the Wilderness Camp Pavilion. A fresh nutritious salad bar will accompany the noon meal. Occasionally we will cook another meal over the fire, such as our tin foil dinners where potatoes and hamburgers are wrapped in tin foil and cooked over the coals of a fire.
Campers will also have access to snacks throughout the day. In the afternoon the tent groups will visit either the Snack Shop or Trading Post where there is a variety of snack foods available to them at reasonable prices. Many evenings, either the Trading Post will be open again or a snack will be provided. Your children will have plenty of opportunities to eat hearty meals and snacks. Please do not send snack foods with your camper, as wildlife may sniff out the presence of any snacks in the campers' tents.
Sample menus are available on the website, but please do not confuse them for this summer’s menus. Menus vary for the different age groups, and are available upon request two weeks prior to the week of camp. Please contact us if you have special dietary concerns, allergies, or restrictions. |
