Meet four of our Summer Team Members:

To fulfill our goal of providing a top-quality program, we are hiring over 85 passionate, dependable and compassionate summer team members! So you will have plenty of people to partner with in prayer! Below, four of our upcoming summer team members share a bit about themselves.

    (1) Jeshua – Pinebrook Day Camp:

“I will be an assistant counselor at Pinebrook Day Camp this summer. I have a big family, and I’m passionate about being outside.

Please pray that I can be a good influence on my campers and anyone who needs it. Thanks for praying for me!”

    (2) Malia – Spruce Lake Overnight Camp:

“Hello! My name is Malia, and I am currently a sophomore at John Brown University studying Nursing. I am so excited to be a counselor at Spruce Lake this summer, and cannot wait to see how God works through me this summer!

I am passionate about mentoring girls and young women in their walk with Christ. I am also passionate about getting outdoors and taking in the beauty of God’s creation.

Something I would love prayer for is endurance throughout the summer as I am coming from college and working in Resident Life, and then immediately jumping into being a counselor. I am also growing in my leadership skills, so prayers that I would be confident in my leadership and lead well.”

    (3) Eli – Spruce Lake Retreat Center:

“My family and I served at Joni and Friends Family Retreat several times while I was growing up, and I have loved Spruce Lake ever since. I am so excited about being part of the summer staff this year!

I will be working at Spruce Lake Retreat Center this summer.”

    (4) Hannah – Spruce Lake Day Camp:

“Hello! My name is Hannah. I just graduated from Lancaster Bible College in December of 2025 and am currently working at Hinkletown Mennonite School as a 4th grade teacher. I love kids, being outdoors, listening to and playing music, and spending time with family and friends. I am the oldest of four kids. I have worked at Spruce Lake Day Camp for the past five summers as a counselor and as the activities coordinator. I’m super excited to get to serve at camp again this summer.

I am passionate about creating safe spaces for children to have fun and learn about God.

Thank you so much for committing to pray for me over the summer. I really appreciate your willingness to take time out of your already busy schedule to pray for me and the ministry at Spruce Lake. I couldn’t do what I do without prayer support from people like you.”

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.” – Ephesians 6:18-19
