Gifts from many friends, alumni, families and businesses support Spruce Lake Ministries (Spruce Lake and Pinebrook). Each donor and volunteer is a vital partner in pointing people toward Christ! Each contribution of time and funds supports youth camps, guest groups, programmed retreats for adults and families, and experiences that introduce people to the wonders of God’s creation.

Spruce Lake is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, owned by Franconia Mennonite Camp Association, Inc. All donations are tax-deductible according to IRS regulations.

This cam captures work at the Lower Cabin Area across from the Barn, which will become the boy’s lodging area:

Spruce Lake Ministries has been built upon an amazing foundation! We have watched God work through our history of visionary leaders, volunteers, staff and board members—and none of this would be possible without YOU, our valued guests and donors.

We are halfway through the Final Phase of the youth campus project. Sixteen new cabins will enable lodging for year-round youth ministry programming which always was—and still is—at the heart of Spruce Lake. Work began September 18, 2023, starting first with 8 cabins in the former girls’ tenting area; this section is completed. The second section of 8 cabins across from the Barn is underway now; completion is expected by January, 2025.

We invite skilled VOLUNTEERS to help with certain aspects of the project. Let us know of your interest by calling Steve Ykema at Spruce Lake: 570-595-7505 x 155.

We welcome your ongoing support of the Youth Campus!

Sponsor a Camper

For many people, summer camp is a foundational childhood experience. Our campers eagerly anticipate returning year after year because of the profound ability of camp to change a young person’s life. Our communities are fill of believers who came to know Christ through powerful camp experiences.

At Spruce Lake, we believe in the power of camp to change lives. Daily, we see God working in our campers’ hearts, and our desire is for every child to experience a week of camp. Our passion for pointing children and youth toward Christ allows us to offer the Spruce Lake Summer Camp experience as unusually low rates in order to accomplish that goal. Here’s how:

(1) An incredible donor base willingly digs deep to support the ministry of Spruce Lake!
(2) Annual golf tournament has been raising funds for summer “Wilderness Camp” since 1975.
(3) Every child who wants to attend camp can do so through our Campership Fund.
