Spruce Lake is the perfect place for any camper to connect with God and grow lifelong friendships. Located in the Pocono Mountains, our summer Overnight Camps help campers spend their days creating unforgettable memories and engaging with trusted team members in fun, outdoor activities.
Christ-Centered Focus:
Every aspect of camp is purposefully designed to point campers toward Christ, sparking curiosity, creativity, and teamwork while deepening their understanding of God’s love.
Unmatched Atmosphere:
At Spruce Lake, your child will step away from screens and into 900 acres of God’s breathtaking creation — forests, streams, and waterfalls. In this Christ‑centered, tech‑free environment, campers form genuine friendships, grow in faith, and experience the joy of being fully present.
Devoted Ministry Team:
Each team member is prayerfully chosen and trained to model Christ’s love, ensuring every camper feels valued and cared for in a Christ‑centered environment where faith flourishes and friendships grow.
By choosing Spruce Lake, your child will grow in Christ, build lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories.
Never experienced a Christian summer camp before? You’re not alone! Join us on for a fun-filled day where you and your camper can preview Overnight Camp. Experience fun, exciting games, camp songs and more!
Spiritual learning and growth can happen informally throughout the entire day as campers and their counselors build healthy relationships and enjoy lots of outdoor fun together! Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including sports, arts, outdoor games, and adventure programming (challenge course, zip line, indoor high ropes, climbing tower and wall, and vertical playpen).
In the mornings, there is a time of worship and a short message from the camp speaker, and then counselors and campers have a follow-up Bible study or devotional time together. Each evening, kids love Fireside, a lively time of musical worship and an age-appropriate speaker. Wednesday nights after Fireside, campers can choose to accept the special invitation to talk with their counselor one-on-one about life and faith questions or decisions.
Packing for each camper includes a pillow and sleeping bag, bath and swimming towels, rainwear, swimsuit, unbreakable breakfast dishes, a flashlight, toiletries, and 4-5 sets of active outdoor-wear. The full list of What to Pack can be found on our Forms & Information page (https://www.sprucelake.org/camp-forms/), under the name of your chosen Camp Week. Please help your daughter or son plan and follow the guidelines on the What to Pack list. Spruce Lake Summer Camp does not allow cell phones and other electronic devices while at camp. (Full details are on the What to pack list.)
Parents/guardians provide us with vital care information when they complete the Camper Health Form. A registered nurse (RN) is on duty during all Overnight Camp weeks. They administer medications, provide care under our standing orders, and inform members of the counseling or food service teams of any health-related issues or food allergies. Numerous team members are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding. Hospital, 911 and clinic services are also available as needed with an approximate 20-minute response time. If there is an emergency at camp, we will contact the parent/guardian as quickly as possible.
Spruce Lake Summer Camp’s highest priority is the well-being of your son or daughter. While we support good parent/camp communications, our camps are largely tech-free. This promotes space for real connection, confidence-building, and meaningful relationships. We have found that these relationships flourish when campers are immersed in the camp environment without distractions. Direct parent contact is reserved for special or uncommon circumstances.
We will gladly check in on your child and let you know how things are going. If you request a camper check, a leadership team member will speak personally with both your child and his/her counselor to see how the week is going. Please be aware that, due to the busy camp schedule, the best time of day to request a camper check is in the morning. This gives us the best chance of returning your call within the same day. Requests received after lunch will likely receive a response the following day.

Discoverers Camp is a special 3-day experience designed to give younger children their first taste of summer camp adventure — they’ll be too busy having fun to miss home!
From games, swimming, kayaking, sports, and nature activities to the mini‑zipline, 300‑foot water slide, daily devotionals, and lively Fireside worship, every day is packed with joy and discovery.
Each cabin has two caring counselors who meet campers’ daily needs and serve as fun‑loving Christian role models. With earlier bedtimes and cabin group stability, kids stay energized, feel secure, and grow in faith while making lasting friendships.

Explorers Camp is the perfect stepping stone between Discoverers and Trekkers. Campers meet new friends in their cabin group, explore God’s creation, and enjoy activities like climbing, slingshots, tie‑dye, swimming, kayaking, and more!
Caring counselors guide campers in both fun and faith, while daily messages from the camp pastor, passionate Fireside worship, and Christ‑centered relationships help them grow spiritually and build lasting friendships.

Trekkers Camp gives kids opportunities to explore new interests, try new skills, and enjoy a wide variety of activities. Each day blends cabin group bonding with camper‑choice activities, so friendships grow alongside faith.
Campers will enjoy kayaking, swimming, mini‑golf, crafts, and sports, plus big thrills like the water slide, climbing tower, and a fun late-night event. Add in morning devotionals and group games, and every day is packed with faith and fun!
Evenings wrap up with Rec Hour and lively Fireside worship — filled with music, singing, and powerful messages from the camp pastor — creating unforgettable moments of faith and fun.

Trailblazers Camp celebrates the uniqueness of the preteen age group with exciting new adventures! Campers tackle the SkyTrail ropes course, try archery, practice firebuilding, and join in a thrilling night game. Campers will also enjoy their camp favorites with camper choice activities, plus cabin group activities and friendly competitions during Rec Hour.
Counselors lead with joy and faith, guiding campers through adventures and devotion. Nights come alive with Fireside worship, and the camp pastor’s messages are explored together in morning devotionals — sparking spiritual growth and friendships that last.

Adventurers Camp gives older campers a chance to dive into bigger challenges and outdoor fun! They’ll experience activities like geocaching, fire-building, zipline rides, competitive games, more advanced crafts, and the ever‑popular “Mission Impossible” night game. Campers enjoy later evenings, continuing the excitement after energetic Fireside worship.
Counselors and speakers engage campers in meaningful conversations about faith and relationships, helping them grow closer to God and to one another. With both cabin group activities and camper choice activities, every camper gets to shape their own adventure while building lasting friendships.

Navigators Camp creates a unique atmosphere for senior high campers to build strong relationships with peers and counselors while exploring life, faith, and friendships.
Campers enjoy special highlights like a camp celebration dinner with entertainment, plus plenty of adventures to choose from each day — from zipline, SkyTrail ropes course, kayaking, swimming, competitive sports, crafts, and outdoor activities.
The week also features the ever‑popular Mission Impossible night game, active Rec Hours, and energetic Fireside worship with relevant messages from the camp pastor, helping campers grow spiritually while making memories that last.
Share camp together in a three‑day overnight adventure!
Choose from activities like kayaking, ziplining, tie‑dye, rock painting, pond life, slingshots, and more. Mornings start with devotional questions to grow closer to God and each other, and evenings end with energetic worship and a family‑friendly message from the camp speaker.
Ready for the next step?
The LIT program gives teens ages 15–18 the chance to serve for one or two weeks, gaining hands‑on ministry experience behind the scenes with guidance from mentors and camp leaders.
Many past participants say LIT helped them grow in character and prepared them for the challenges of serving a full summer at camp.
