Who can attend Engage?
Anyone who works with youth in a church setting, whether volunteer or paid. That included youth group & student leaders, Christian Education or Sunday School teachers, youth mentors, pastors and youth pastors.
Heather Flies (pronounced “fleez”) is in her 28th year leading the junior high ministry at Wooddale Church in Minnesota. Young teens are her favorite people, she says! She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Bethel University and a Master of Divinity in theological studies from Bethel Seminary. She has also written two books: “I Want to Talk to My Teen About Girl Stuff,” and “That’s What She Said/That’s What He Said.” Heather loves football, tennis, the color orange, and listening to Christmas music year-round. She lives near Minneapolis with her husband, Chad, and their two St. Bernard dogs.
With 20+ years of experience in youth ministry, Todd Pearage has served as youth pastor in a variety of churches and denominations. During these years he and his wife, Lynda, experienced the highs and the lows of ministry. God has given Todd the desire and opportunity to come alongside other youth pastors as a cheerleader, coach and friend. He hosts the “Youth Leader Summit” for at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, and has authored several resources for “Download Youth Ministry.” Todd enjoys spending time with his family, a good movie, and watching his beloved teams from Pittsburgh.
Drew Wagner is an artist, worship leader and vocalist with 15+ years of experience in church ministry and also professional music as a former touring and studio vocalist for various studios, labels and bands throughout the U.S. and the world. As the former guitarist and support vocalist for Grammy-nominated producer and artist David “da Monsta” Lynch and member of the world renowned Monsta and the Machines, he felt God calling him into worship ministry. Drew began working in churches leading worship throughout the country. His desire is to first listen to God’s direction in his life, then lead others in worship through music with humility and authenticity. He is the overseer of worship at LifePoint Church in Reisterstown, MD.
